Vehicle Description

This 1:6 scale model was essentially scratch built by using wood, styrene and custom casted wheels. The cab is from a blow molded 1:6 scale kit made in the early 2000s. The doors were added and the truck bed, under carriage and suspension were rebuilt. The Blitz name (German for lightning) was first applied to an Opel truck in 1930. From 1939 onwards the 3-ton version was used frequently throughout WWII for troop transport, freight transport and service.
